Dog shows (conformation events) are intended to evaluate breeding stock. The dog's conformation (overall appearance and structure), an indication of the dog's ability to produce quality puppies, is judged.
There are few feelings that compare to giving life to one of these beautiful animals, loving and nurturing him or her, training them and then taking them to the show ring and have them judged a Champion.
