In our quest for the best Newfie/ human relationship we have spent many long and wonderful days on the road. We have traveled to many exciting and beautiful places. Met some of the most friendly, and not so friendly, people that share the same love for their family of Newfs.
To travel with my guys takes much planning and thought into what we might need in daily life as well as the unexpected that may pop up. It is ALWAYS an adventure. My new philosophy on our travels is "It's not about the destination, the journey is the true gift".
Our most recent trip was to the beautiful state of Maine to visit my daughter and her family. Cyrus and I traveled by train and it was a wonderful experience.
Hemmingway and I getting in a little draft practice while at Seneca SC. We were there with good friends and great dogs to compete in the Water Rescue Trials. A very beautiful park snuggled into the foothills of the Blue Ridge Parkway. October 2009
Cyrus is a very special guy. He is a Florida Newf and no spring chicken so I got him some warm footies to wear while manuvering the snow and ice. Very stylish, I think.
Hemmingway was very happy to help with the daily chore of Waste Management(taking out the garbage).
The common theme for all my trips is "Friends Helping Friends"
The beauty of our Country inspires on our trips.
Great food is an added bonus on our trips.
Pawling NY, the site of the Bear Mountain Water Trials. Upstate NY was very pretty.
Shaking off the butterflies before our turn at the Bear Mountain Water Trials, Pawling NY.
Some of the roads we have traveled have been instrumental in keeping my adreneline levels high.
Our home away from home. Keeping my rig in good health is sometimes a challenge but always interesting.
The Grounds in Front of the Bavarian Inn, Frankenmuth Mi. Host hotel for the 2009 Newfie National Competition.
I don't think the Newfie mobile will fit under that beautiful Covered Bridge. Frankenmuth Mi.
A very nice New Penn Del member helping Cosette pratice the "Take a line" excercise. Beltzville Park Pa. September 2009
Taking in the beauty of the test sight for the NewPennDel Water Rescue Trials. Beltzvile Park Pa. September 2009
A good friend showing her happiness at seeing her Aunt Judy on her quest for a water title.
These are the memories that will make the twilight years full of laughter. What a blast this trip was.
Signs along the road. Did they know I had a rig full of them.
So peaceful and beautiful. Before the water trials.
